The Mission of the D’Brickashaw Ferguson Foundation is to improve the quality of life for students by awarding academic scholarships to those deserving eligible students who reside in the New York area, including but not limited to Baldwin, Freeport, Hempstead, Roosevelt, Uniondale communities, and to eligible students throughout the United States. The foundation will provide resources that will enhance and contribute to each student’s pursuit of higher education.
The Foundation will also provide financial support to churches by way of grants for the repair and construction of church owned edifices. Ultimately, the foundation will provide resources to churches, schools and to fund food banks and clothing ministries in hopes to building up the respective communities there by showing God’s love in action.
Statement of Purpose
The D’Brickashaw Ferguson Foundation was established by D’Brickashaw Ferguson October, 2007 with a focus to build stronger communities by awarding scholarships, repairs to existing churches, support food and clothing ministries.
The Foundation is a tax exempt, not-for profit 501(c)3 organization. The Board of Directors has discretionary powers. The Board will discharge their responsibility in a manner that will result in maximum beneficial use of resources of the Foundation to build stronger communities.
Request for funds must be received in writing utilizing The D’Brickashaw Ferguson grant and scholarship guidelines and applications.
Grants and scholarships request will be considered and applicants will be notified in writing.
A letter showing Federal 501(c) 3 tax exempt status as a public charity must accompany all grant requests.
